San Diego State Leads the All time series vs. Air Force (47-20)
Home: 26-6
Away: 17-13
Neutral: 4-1
This Saturday the #13-15 San Diego State Aztec’s and the Air Force Falcons will meet for the 67th at Clune Arena (USAFA, Colo). The Aztecs lead the series with the Falcons 47-20. The Aztecs have won 8 straight games against Air Force, while holding the Falcons to 47.1 points per game while out rebounding them by an average of 10.1. The main thing about this up coming game is that it will most likely be very low scoring and it will show case the two teams defenses.

Keys to an Aztec Victory
Reaching 60 points in Saturday’s game is the main key to victory for the Aztec’s against the Falcons. Going back to the 1990-91 season, SDSU has won all but two games (25-2) against Air Force in which they have scored 60 or more points.

Series Trends:
The team that is ahead at half time has won 21 of the last 25 games in the series. (All three losses came in 2004-2005). The team that has the fewest turnovers has won 16 of the last 21 games in the series. Since the formation of the Mountain West Conference, San Diego State is 17-5 vs. the Falcons when committing 18 or fewer turnovers in a game and 0-5 vs. Air Force when committing 19 or more turnovers. (Example from last season at home, Aztecs led Air Force 34-30, turned the ball over 10 times, scored over 60 and won.) 4 of the last 9 games that the Aztecs have lost to Air Force they had exactly 19 turnovers.

ON THE LINE IN SATURDAY’S GAME
San Diego State has won eight straight games against the Air Force Academy.
This is a must win game for the Aztecs. This is a MUST WIN game for SDSU if we want any chance at winning the MWC Regular Season Conference Championship. SDSU has dropped far in the RPI out of the top 25 and high teens in the AP Top 25 poll for being upset by UNM at home.

Does New Mexico’s win really qualify as an upset? Because the Lobos efficiency numbers are actually higher than SDSU’s. Anyway, this should be an easy win for the Aztecs, and I do want to congratulate you guys on a successful recruiting class.
no it does not count as an upset because UNLV is now 5-5 on the Road, they are the worst road team in the div. But it made it impossible for SDSU to now win the regular season div championship.
thanks you and I hope we can win this, as Jamaal is out and he is our best player the game is tied at 29 at half, so this is not good at all…..
