Tonight the (#24/25) San Diego State Aztec’s and the Wyoming Cowboys will meet for the 71st time at Viejas Arena.

The Aztecs have dominated Wyoming at Viejas Arena in the past few years with monster blowouts of  96-57 and 88-57. This is the second to last home game of the season for the Aztecs and a must win game.  Congrats to the Aztecs WBB’s team who locked up a share of the Mountain West Conference regular season title last night with there win over Wyoming. The travel for your Aztecs as you all know about the 17 + hour plane flight should be easy just a 5 min walk from the campus apartments to Viejas Arena tonight.  The Aztecs have won four straight overall and four straight at Viejas Arena against Wyoming. Injury updates for tonight’s game; Garret Green will not play after his injury at Air Force and Jamaal Franklin has been practicing but will still be a game time decision for tonight. If I were to make a guess on who will take Green’s spot tonight it would be DeShawn Stephens so look for him to start tonight’s game.

Keys for an Aztec Victory:
My keys to victory would include holding WYO under 60 points and  keep the game close  or blow them out. Hold WYO under 40% shooting as the Aztec’s have won 33 straight games when doing this.  Major key the Aztecs need to win the rebounding battle, they need to execute on the free throw line and they need to shoot higher than 40 % . The team needs to find away to get the fans into the game  by making a major play early, play contained basketball and just play like yourselves.
