If you are under 35 or you are not a fan of electronic dance music, you may have never heard of a Swedish musician, super DJ and music producer Avicii, although you probably heard his most popular song "Wake Me Up".

Avicii, whose real name was Tim Bergling, has reached almost absurd levels of fame, success, wealth and adoration. Unfortunately, his success led to huge losses of anxiety, depression, severe alcoholism and eventually suicide. He was only 28 years old when he died from wounds inflicted on himself because of broken glass on April 20, 2018.

The Grammy-nominated artist had great financial success, regularly earning tens of millions of dollars a year and falling into many lists of Forbes' highest earnings, especially during his peak from 2014 to 2016. His mansion on the Hollywood Hills was sold for $ 17.5 million earlier this year. He signed profitable approval agreements with Volvo and Ralph Lauren.

However, Avicii was never motivated by money. He said during an interview in 2013 : “When I started making money, I found that I really didn’t need it.” Instead, he turned to charity, saying: "When you have such an excess of money that you do not need, the most reasonable, most humane and completely obvious thing is to give people in need."
