From time to time a movie about a striking story emerges in the United States in which a coach of a sports team left an indelible mark on the players of his team. It is usually part of a true story, but that is not the case of 'The Way Back', the new collaboration of Ben Affleck with Gavin O'Connor who now presents his trailer.

Affleck becomes here Jack Cunningham, an old great promise of basketball that abandoned the practice of the sport for unknown reasons. A lot of time has passed since then and it is not that his life is going well, but one day he receives the offer to train a team and accepts without being very convinced. However, everything will change for the better when they start winning, which will encourage them to face their personal demons.

Surely he was not the only one who hoped that the next movie together of Affleck and O'Connor was that already announced sequel to 'The Accountant' that seems to never end up moving forward. Anyway, it is seen that in Warner they wanted to take advantage of the good chemistry between them and 'The Way Back' is the proof of that.

The film is based on a script written by O'Connor himself with Brad Ingelsby, a signatory of the libretto of the esteemed 'A night to survive'. In his cast we will also see Al Madrigal, Michaela Watkins, Janina Gavankar and Glynn Turman.

'The Way Back' will hit theaters on March 6, 2020 - although initially its premiere was scheduled for October 18.
