Adam Sandler and Brad Pitt shared a long conversation for the Actors on Actors section of the Variety specialized site. In it they talked about how Netflix won the credibility of the filmmakers and managed to have in their catalog candidate titles to win the Oscar for best film like "The Irishman", "The Two Popes" or "Story of a marriage".

Both Brad Pitt and Sandler were the first first level actors to cross over to the streaming path. In 2014, the comedian signed an agreement to make several films under the banner of the great N, the result of that agreement was born "Mystery on Board", along with Jennifer Aniston. For its part, the protagonist of "Troy" starred "War Machine" for the platform in 2007.

"You were one of the first to go to Netflix," Brad Pitt tells Sandler. "You crossed the line." "Of course," Sandler replies. “I didn't even know I was doing that. They were interested in working with me; They were so passionate. I am only attached to the platform. They love to offer opportunities for many different types of comedies. ”

Brad Pitt points out that he is not against streaming movies, but he sees the pros and cons. "I guess what I mean is that I am in favor of change," says Brad Pitt. “I will not fight. I see the positive more and more. On the other hand, there is talk of regretting the death of the cinematic experience. Is it gone, because the home experience has become so good? ”

"I don't see him gone," Sandler replies. “I don't think things disappear forever. I just think this is where it is right now. ” Brad Pitt added another pro and another against Netflix: “The advantage of streaming movies is that many of them have more eyes on them; More people see them. The disadvantage: There is so much material that can be disposable. ”

But there is an indisputable benefit when working with Netflix. "What I love is that we don't have to do a lot of press," says Brad Pitt. “It's pretty, isn't it? We don't have to get out of here. We are not fighting for the eyes. We are not trying to put backs on the seats, as they tell us we have to do, ”revealed the Oscar-nominated actor.
