The American actor, dancer and model Channing Tatum, will debut as a director with 'Dog', a comedy film that he wrote and will also star and produce. Tatum will co-direct the film with his usual collaborator, his producer partner Reid Carolin, who also served as a screenwriter along with Brett Rodríguez.

Dog will continue the journey of a retired military man and his Belgian dog Malinois "Lulu", who will travel along the Pacific Ocean coast to attend the funeral of his best friend. The unforeseen and conflicts will lead them to learn lessons for their new vital stage. One of them has a week to live, the other lives as if each day was the last, so they will learn to love again, tells the synopsis according to Deadline.

It should be remembered that Carolin and Channing Tatum worked together on Magic Mike (2012) and their sequel Magic Mike XXL (2015). Filming of the new production plans to begin in the second quarter of 2020. For next year, Channing Tatum also expects the premiere of the movie Free Guy, in which he shares credits with Ryan Reynolds, as well as the filming start date of Wingmen, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
