Chris Pratt has been immortalized in the MCU as one of the most charismatic heroes with his interpretation of Star Lord / Peter Quill, but becoming the galactic character was not really his intention.

Sarah Evans, the casting director of Marvel Studios, revealed in a recent video that the famous actor previously known for his work on the "Parks and Recreations" series, originally auditioned for the character of Captain America.

"James Gunn has been very generous about it by saying that I, to the point of bothering him, kept insisting that Chris Pratt was the man for the role, but Chris didn't want to play the role and refused to audition," Sarah explained.

I finally took him to an audition and James Gunn said he didn't want to see him and that really was a challenge
"I was really happy when I finally got them together and, honestly, it was one of those eureka moments we talked about at the casting when it feels absolutely good and you know it's right. James turned to me in ten seconds and said: 'The it's the guy '", I conclude.

Finally Pratt would become the protagonist of "The Guardians of The Galaxy", while the role of Steve Rogers passed to Chris Evans, who recently said goodbye to the character in "Avengers: Endgame".
