Dwayne Johnson was present at the UFC 244 star fight between Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal to deliver the title of 'Baddest Man Alive'. On that occasion, Masvidal ended up taking the win in three rounds and the former WWE fighter was responsible for putting the belt in front of the entire audience at Madison Square Garden.

However, after that fight, Nate Diaz was asked about Dwayne Johnson and said 'go to hell' for having seen him hugging Jorge Masvidal. Therefore, 'La Roca' thought it convenient to respond to the 34-year-old fighter in an interview with ESPN, but without being very aggressive with him and no encouragement to create a confrontation.

"I was not surprised by his comments because that is the Nate Diaz that we all know and love. He understands, he knows that I and Jorge are from Miami. Try to be neutral and, from what they told me at UFC, it was the biggest fight that they've had. I'm very proud of the two boys, "he said.

Nate Diaz could not finish that fight against Masvidal for having a wound in his right eyebrow that kept bleeding. The UFC doctor in charge of supervising that contest prevented him from continuing and, for that reason, added his tenth-second defeat as a professional.
