Last year, the duo bought the Spanish restaurant Galicia, located on London's Portobello Road, for an alleged £ 1.5 million. Located at number 323 near the intersection with Chesterton Road, Galicia was founded by José Nieto Alborés and Eduardo Lage Porto in 1999. It closed in April 2018.

One source said Sheeran and Camp hoped the site would be ready by the end of next month.

"The builders are working hard to prepare the site and it will be ready by the end of April.

"The name is in the air, as the locals loved Galicia, but Ed wants to put his own stamp on it."

The food and beverage details that will be available on the site have not yet been released, and the information has not been officially confirmed by Sheeran. Although he has not yet put his name in a public bar, in 2017, the singer-songwriter revealed that he had built a secret tunnel to a private pub under his home in the north of London.

In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Sheeran said, "I built a pub. For example, I had a bar before, a bar where you could pour beers but now it's like a selection of beers, which is cool. He also revealed that he bought a villa in Umbria only because he owned a vineyard.

Last year, after playing at Cardiff's Principality Stadium as part of her Divide World Tour, Sheeran was seen at the Park House Restaurant and Wine Bar, alongside fellow performer Lionel Richie. The couple drank all night, accumulating a wine bill of considerable size including a bottle of Penfolds Grange 1997 (£ 750).
