Eminem's Eminem Style Publishing House has appealed the New Zealand Supreme Court's decision against a December decision to cut back the money the national conservative party pays the rapper for his TV campaign "Lose Yourself".

The advertisement in question consisted of a song called "à la sonorité" entitled "Eminem Esque" which the national party had bought from a commercial music library.

Eight Mile Style sued the National Party in court for copyright infringement in 2014. After a lawsuit that brought us some gorgeous pictures of attorneys in bathrobes sleepily listening to the Eminem brand's backup song , a judge ruled in favor of the rapper and writers $ 600,000 New Zealand, about the equivalent of 415,000 US dollars at the time.
