And that discipline arises from the enormous respect he feels towards the uniformed.
In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Cena revealed that, among his many activities, he is dedicated to spreading awareness about war veterans and raising funds for them.
“It is very difficult to find out the facts about war veterans who commit suicide. They are people that I see and respect, and knowing that about 20 veterans a day are taking their lives, it means that the system is failing something. It is not an easy topic to discuss, but it needs to be said so that everyone knows them and can solve the problem.
«I've always had an appreciation for women and men in uniforms. I was strongly influenced by the military when I was a child, which began as a symbol of strength. When I became a teenager, I delved into the code of the military, and grew in such an appreciation for honor, openness, passion and respect. I have tried to build my whole life around those pillars.
«It doesn't matter which side of the line you are on. We need to have a universal respect for those who took the oath to make the last sacrifice. I have a great sense of gratitude for women and men in uniform, and I want to work to ensure that (the foundation) FitOps continues to add a purpose and meaning to the lives of veterans. «
Through FotOs, Cena has helped to collect donations of more than one million dollars, in addition to offering as a prize a VIP coexistence with Cena that will be raffled among donors.
In the same interview, John Cena spoke of Orton's challenge, and also said that we will see him in at least the next ten years of WrestleManias.
