Actress Sandra Bullock and popular presenter Ellen DeGeneres filed a joint lawsuit against more than 100 companies for having used her image and her name to advertise cosmetic and health products without her permission.
This procedure, which was presented this Wednesday before the Superior Court of Los Angeles, in California, directly quotes several examples of some of the products that have incurred fraudulent advertising using the image of both stars.
Among the articles mentioned there are facial creams, anti-aging serums, dietary supplements and potions to lose weight, The Hollywood Reporter has counted.
In addition, the complaint also states that this type of advertising is designed "to look like legitimate or independent press information, and even magazine articles on various beauty products."
It's information would use the image of celebrities without their consent to promote the purchase of the product.
"The publications on the fake news sites present comments and endorsements that are supposedly by Sandra Bullock and DeGeneres. All are false and fraudulent and are published without the plaintiffs' consent," the lawsuit says.
